This guide will walk you through everything you need to get started with Postra—from connecting accounts to scheduling posts and managing your media library.

What is Postra?

Postra is a social media scheduling platform that allows you to schedule, manage, and publish content across multiple social media platforms—all from one central dashboard. Whether you're managing a single brand or multiple accounts, Postra makes your content posting seamless.

This guide will show you how the platform works and help you get up and running in just a few steps.

Dashboard: Manage Your Scheduled Posts

Once you log in, the first page you’ll land on is your Dashboard. This is your command center where you can view, manage, and monitor your scheduled posts.

What You'll Find Here:

A table of scheduled posts appears once you've scheduled at least one post.

Posts with the status "Scheduled" or "Failed" can be edited or deleted.

Posts marked as "Posted" are locked to preserve history and cannot be modified or removed.

Use this view to plan your content and keep track of your posting activity.

Connecting Your Social Media Accounts

Before you can begin scheduling, you'll need to connect the social media accounts you want to post to.

How to Connect:

Navigate to the Connected Accounts page.

Find the platform (e.g., Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn) you'd like to connect.

Click "Connect".

Authorize Postra to access your account.

You’ll be redirected back to the dashboard, and your account will be ready to use.

You can connect multiple profiles from the same or different platforms.

Disconnecting an Account

You can disconnect any account at any time from the Connected Accounts page.

How it Works:

Locate the account you wish to disconnect.

Click "Disconnect".

This will revoke Postra’s access to that account.

Important:

If you have any scheduled posts that include this account:

You must either edit the post to remove the disconnected account or delete the post entirely.

Once a post has been sent, you can safely disconnect the account without issues.

Media Library: Organize Your Visuals

The Media Library is where all your images and videos are stored. This allows you to upload and reuse media files across multiple posts—saving time and maintaining consistency.

Key Features:

Upload and store images and videos for future use.

Rename files for easier identification.

Delete unused media files.

Reuse media across multiple posts without re-uploading.

Uploading Media

To upload new media files:

Go to the Media Library.

Click the "Upload" button.

A modal will appear where you can select up to five files to upload at once.

Supported file types include images and videos (with size limits based on platform requirements).

Once uploaded, files will appear in your library.

Notes:

You can rename or delete files after upload.

If a file is attached to a scheduled (not yet posted) post, you must either:

Once the post is sent, you can delete the file if it is no longer needed.

Creating a New Post

The New Post page is where you schedule content to go live.

Steps:

Select one or more connected accounts to post to.

For each selected account:

As you customize, you will be able to see a preview of what your post will look like (if preview is supported for that platform).

Choose the date and time you want your post to go live.

Click “Schedule” to confirm.

All scheduled posts will show up on your dashboard. You can return to this post at any time (before it's sent) to edit the caption, media, or accounts involved.
